Together with Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Maatschappij Linkerscheldeoever (MLSO) is committed to increasing biodiversity in the port area. The species protection programme of the port of Antwerp establishes how protected port-specific and non-port-specific species are dealt with. After the previous species protection programme expired, a new one was drawn up for the period 2022-2027. On 21 September, Port of Antwerp-Bruges and MLSO organised a joint information session for companies on the subject of the species protection programme and biodiversity in the port area.
During the State of the Waaslandhaven on 28 June last, the companies present were given an introduction to the species protection programme and some of the actions carried out by Port of Antwerp-Bruges and MLSO in that regard. The full recording of this presentation can be viewed below.
